HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN
“Happy Days Are Here Again” if you remember the song…and we feel like singing! It’s such good news that we can finally get out of the doldrums of high mortgage and interest rates that have devastated our businesses. Buckle your seat belts because we see our businesses heating up fast starting September 18th. Let’s be prepared:
Let’s start with the basics:
- WEBSITE: How does it compare to your nearest competitors? Look at it in “incognito” so you see it as a future customer would.
- Does it load fast?
- Is your phone number prominent?
- Do you have a simple form to fill out?
- Are your federal and state registration numbers listed?
- Is your street address listed?
- GOOGLE BUSINESS PROFILE
- Do you have one?
- Is it up to date?
- Are your service areas accurate?
- Are the photos clear, interesting, and representative of your business?
- Are your hours correct?
- PHONE ANSWERING
- Do you have a human answering?
- Make sure the number for new business is answered by a human.
- We record calls for dozens of clients. People hang up on phone trees.
- STOCK PHOTOS VERSUS YOUR PHOTOS
- No comparison in value and engagement.
- Photos from cell phones can look great.
The chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank said in his address last Friday at the Jackson Hole symposium that they would act September 17-18 and reduce the Fed Funds Rate by at least a ¼%. In addition, they expect more rate cuts, even this year. A word to the wise: Be Prepared!
Onward & Upward!
